Fish study: Guppy fish and Ikan longkang

"Guppy" is the common name for Girardinus guppii. It has many colors and breeds. The fish are small, growing up to 1 inch in length.

Wild guppies are also found in Malaysia, it is commonly known as ikan longkang or drain fish. They feed on mosquito larvae and are a natural method for mosquito control. They give birth to their young, so instead of eggs you'll see lots of tiny baby fish. Super cute.
